The Excite portion of the Reality Well Platform™ features what are known in the healthcare industry as serious games. These exercise-based games have shown significant evidence to be a suitable complement to conventional activities for physical activity promotion and rehabilitation.
They can bring benefits on important functional fitness domains (eg. balance, flexibility) and cognitive functions (eg. memory, processing speed) increasing the exercise motivation by adding fun and enjoyment to the monotony of physical training.
The Reality Well Platform™ technology can boost the engagement of training with serious / exercise games by providing more immersive and interactive experiences that can be beneficial to increase its attractiveness and effectiveness in the older population.
Seas The Day is a partnership project with University of Waterloo. The exergame has 3 different levels and exercise intensities. It starts with Tai Chi, then Rowing and ends with Fishing.
